Terms of the lottery

This is the app's standard wording. The club can replace it in the admin area.

The lottery

This lottery is promoted by Example Cricket Club and registered with Ashford Borough Council. The person responsible for it is Pat Promoter, 1 High Street, Ashford.

Each number is one ticket. A ticket costs £1.00 a month, and every ticket costs the same. You must be 16 or over to take part.

Draws

There is one draw each month, normally held on the last Friday of each month. The club may move a draw's date and will tell members if it does.

Your numbers are in a month's draw only if that month is fully paid for. A payment counts for a month if the club receives it on or before that month's draw date. Money received later counts towards later months.

Winners are picked at random by a published, checkable method. A number can win only one prize in a draw. Prizes are fixed amounts, set before each draw. The club tells winners directly. Winning numbers are published without names.

Paying

You can pay for a year at a time or month by month. Please quote your payment reference with every payment. If you pay part of a month, your numbers aren't in that month's draw, and the money counts towards the next month.

Giving up numbers or leaving

You can give up some of your numbers or leave at any time. The change applies from the next draw that hasn't been held. If you have paid ahead for months that haven't been drawn, you can have that money refunded or give it to the club. If you are giving up only some numbers, you can also keep it as credit for your remaining numbers. Numbers you give up are not offered to anyone else straight away.

If something goes wrong

If a draw has to be cancelled, for example because of a mistake in who was in it, the cancelled draw stays on record and the month is drawn again.
